More DIY lights

These ones come from Family Chic and are so adorable (AND EASY!) I just have to try them for our next BBQ or back yard party.

Pick up some great looking cupcake tin liners (these ones are from IKEA) and with an X-Acto knife, make a cross cut in the bottom.

Remove the bulb from your sting of lights, slip the liner on, and replace the bulb. IT'S THAT SIMPLE!

 Some tips:
  1. while the liners are meant for extreme heat, try not to have them directly touch the bulb OR use LED lights which don't give off any heat
  2. don't leave the lights on for long periods of time unattended
  3. these won't survive in the rain, so will have to come down
